Sledging in Oberegggen and Deutschofen, South Tyrol

There are lots of different ways to enjoy snow. And the Eggen Valley know how to satisfy its visitors. Nature lovers can make use of several toboggan courses with natural snow, surrounded by magnificent landscapes, and with a course length of between 800 meters and 3 km. Families with children can thus spend many fun-filled hours tobogganing. The nighttime toboggan course in Obereggen is illuminated with flood lights three nights a week. You can get there easily with the 8-person "Ochsenweide" aerial tram.

Epircher-Laner-Alm Toboggan Course, Obereggen:

• Start from Obereggen
• Length: 2.5 km
• Altitude differential: 280 meters
• Ascent with the "Ochsenweide" aerial tram
• Degree of difficulty: easy
• Nighttime illumination on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m.
• Epircher-Laner Alpine Refreshment Stop (hosted hut)

Liegalm Toboggan Course (new route):

Start: 200 meters past the Hotel Schwarzenbach (approx. 5 km before reaching Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente)
Starting point: The parking lot between the Hotel Ganischgerhof and the Schwarzenbach Brook
Length: approx. 2.5 km
Altitude differential: 450 meters
Ascent/walking time: approx. 1 ½ hours
The slope is easy to medium-hard.
Illumination: none

Starting point: Hotel Pföesl
Length: approx. 800 meters
Altitude differential: approx. 150 meters
Ascent/walking time: approx. 20 minutes
Degree of difficulty: medium-hard to hard
Remarks: More suitable for races than for toboggan outings. Racing track (is iced).
